Ms. Maria Ramoshaba
I am an organized and hard-working Regional Communication Coordinator at Government Communication
Information Systems (GCIS). I have more than ten years’ experience in the communication field. I
have an excellent good working relationship with stakeholders to ensure that a mandate for
implementing development communication is achieved effectively and efficiently.
I managed to empower the local municipalities in my district to develop their own communication and
social media strategies than relying on consultants as they must own the document including
monitoring its implementation. This is done to ensure that we have coordinated government messages,
and we do not compete for space but communicate with one voice.
Seeing the disadvantaged community members, especially the youth, access information and services
from all spheres of government to better their lives by establishing small businesses to fight
unemployment provide me with great satisfaction.
